Dark Iron Dwarves Allied Race

The Dark Iron Dwarves Allied Race is one of the four Allied Races available to the Alliance in Battle for Azeroth, the other three being the Kul Tiran Humans, the Lightforged Draenei and the Void Elves.

In this Allied Race guide we are going to have a look at the unlock requirements, rewards, class options, racial spells and more!

Unlock Requirements

The Dark Iron Dwarves, like all other Allied Races, have requirements that need to be fulfilled in order to create a character of this race:

After you meet these requirements, the Recruitment Scenario for the Dark Iron Dwarves becomes available in the Stormwind Embassy.

Mount

Upon completing the Recruitment Scenario you will receive the Dark Iron Core Hound mount.

Heritage Armor

If you successfully level a Dark Iron Dwarf to level 110 without using a character boost, you will be rewarded with the Heritage of the Dark Iron achievement, which in turn awards a Heritage Armor cosmetic transmog set.

The Dark Iron Dwarves can be the following classes:

  • Hunters

Dark Iron Dwarves can discover new Mole Machine locations throughout the world to add them as new destinations for the racial ability. You can find a list of them in our article: Mole Machine Secret Locations.

Lore

Known for their fiery tempers and fierce determination, Dark Iron dwarves have a turbulent history with the other clans. A failed coup in Ironforge ignited the War of the Three Hammers, and many of the Dark Iron once fought in the service of Ragnaros the Firelord. Though one faction is pledged to Queen-Regent Moira Thaurissan, others refuse to stand alongside their kin. The Alliance seeks a united Dark Iron clan to harness the power of Azerite and aid their struggle against the Horde.
