Earthen Allied Race Guide
Earthen are a neutral Allied Race introduced in The War Within expansion. In this guide we are having a look at their unlock requirements, mounts, heritage armor, racial spells, class options, and more.
How to Unlock Earthen
To unlock the Earthen Allied Race you have to complete The War Within campaign and several additional quests required for the Allied Races: Earthen achievement.
After you've done that, the Earthen become available as a playable race, and you can choose Alliance or Horde to begin your journey.
Mount
Upon completing the Allied Races: Earthen achievement you will receive the Slatestone Ramolith mount.
Earthen Paladins additionally gain access to an exclusive mount, the Earthen Ordinant's Ramolith.
Heritage Armor
After creating your first Earthen and playing through the introduction questline, you'll receive the Awakened Tabard.
Reaching level 50 on an Earthen character and turning in the quest Heritage of the Earthen awards the achievement Heritage of the Earthen and unlocks three Heritage of the Khaz Algar transmog sets: Dornogal, Freywold and Gundargaz. These armor sets can only be transmogged by Earthen characters.
Racial Spells
- Azerite Surge - Draw upon inner strength to empower a spell that releases Azerite in a cone in front of you, dealing Fire damage. This ability has a 2-minute cooldown and gains additional effects as it is empowered.
- Hyper Productive - Increases Finesse by 25. Finesse increases the chance to gather additional materials.
- Ingest Minerals - You are always Well Fed but cannot consume food. Activate to consume a Khaz Algar gem and change the benefit granted to you by Well Fed.
- Titan-Wrought Frame - Base armor from equipped items is increased by 10%.
- Wide-Eyed Wonder - Gain 200% additional experience from exploration.

Customizations
Earthen characters can be customized with gem encrustations, distinctive beards for all body types, a variety of skin tones and other unique features.
Capital City
Dornogol serves as the capital of the Earthen, located on the Isle of Dorn within Khaz Algar. Though shaped from ancient stone, the city is rich with greenery, its terraces and halls woven into the living landscape around it.
Origins
Earthen have been encountered before in places like Ulduar, but this society has remained isolated in Khaz Algar for centuries. Freed from their old bindings, they now venture forth with curiosity, seeking to ally with the Alliance and Horde.
