Feast of Winter Veil World Event Guide (December 16 – January 2)
The Feast of Winter Veil is a holiday in World of Warcraft, inspired by winter festivities around the world. It is themed around wrapping and gifting presents, helping the Greatfather Winter, dressing up in festive clothes, and defeating the Abominable Greench. You can also bake some cookies and make eggnog!

The fine folks of Smokywood Pastures aren’t letting a little thing like war between the Horde and the Alliance get in the way of spreading holiday cheer—or gaining a bit of profit. Winter Veil has begun in Azeroth, and with it come all the fripperies, fineries, and delectable comestibles of the holiday.
When: December 16 - January 2
Where: Initial holiday quests can be found in Orgrimmar and Ironforge, but festive decorations can be found throughout the world.
Winter Veil 2020 Gifts
The new gifts in Winter Veil 2020 are Jingles the Baby Raptor (Shaking Pet Carrier) and the Wreath-A-Rang toy.
Mounts
- Minion of Grumpus - Has a chance to be contained in a Savage Gift.
You can buy the gift from Izzy Hollyfizzle for 5 Merry Supplies. To obtain those supplies, you can complete 4 daily quests in your Draenor Garrison, which will net you a total of 5 Merry Supplies per day, per character.
Pets
- Shaking Pet Carrier (Pet: Jingles) - Drop from the Winter Veil Gift.
- Green Helper Box, Jingling Bell, Red Helper Box, Snowman Kit - Drop from the Gaily Wrapped Present.
- Grumpling - Can be found in Snow Mound, in Frostfire Ridge.
- Globe Yeti - Can be captured through pet battling in the Snow Globe in Orgrimmar and Ironforge.

- The Swineskin, Foot Ball, Blue Crashin' Thrashin' Racer Controller, Tiny Green Ragdoll, Tiny Blue Ragdoll, Wind-Up Train Wrecker and Toy Train Set - Sold by Jepetto Joybuzz in Dalaran (The Broken Isles). Pepe's Greatfather Winter Costume
To unlock Pepe's Greatfather Winter Costume (A Tiny Winter Hat) you have to interact with Greatfather Pepe, which can be found sitting on the Smokeywoods Pastures cart in Orgrimmar and Ironforge during the Feast of Winter Veil World Event.

Recipes
Players with specific professions will receive a mail from Greatfather Winter which will include a recipe. These recipes can also be purchased from the Smokywood Pastures vendors.
- Leatherworking will get you the Pattern: Winter Boots
- Cooking will get you the Recipe: Hot Apple Cider
- Tailoring will get you either the Pattern: Green Winter Clothes (Horde) or the Pattern: Red Winter Clothes (Alliance)

Achievements
Merrymaker
To obtain the Merrymaker meta achievement from the Winter Veil World Event (required for What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been), you will need to complete the following achievements.

- The Winter Veil Gourmet
- He Knows If You've Been Naughty

- On Metzen! - Save Metzen the Reindeer.
To complete this achievement you are required to complete the quest You're a Mean One... (Horde) / You're a Mean One... (Alliance).
- With a Little Helper from My Friends - Earn 50 honorable kills as a Little Helper from the Winter Wondervolt machine.
The Wondervolt machines can be found at major cities. The effect has an expiry and will be removed upon death, so you may need to refresh this regularly between battles.
- Scrooge (Horde) - Throw a snowball at Baine Bloodhoof during the Feast of Winter Veil.
- Scrooge (Alliance) - Throw a snowball at Muradin Bronzebeard during the Feast of Winter Veil.
Snowball can be either bought from any Winter Veil vendor or looted from the holiday event areas in Dun Morogh, Hillsbrad Foothills or Winterspring. Baine can be found in Thunder Bluff, and Muradin can be found in Ironforge.
- Fa-la-la-la-Ogri'la - Complete the Bomb Them Again! quest while mounted on a flying reindeer during the Feast of Winter Veil.
You can transform your mount into a festive reindeer by using:
- Fresh Holly, obtained by /kiss'ing a Winter Reveler (this can be done once per hour).
- Preserved Holly obtained from the quest A Ticking Present.
- 'Tis the Season - During the Feast of Winter Veil, wear 3 pieces of winter clothing and eat Graccu's Mince Meat Fruitcake.
To get this achievement you will have to equip three of the following items:
- Simply Abominable - Complete the quest to retrieve Smokywood Pastures' stolen treats and receive a Smokywood Pastures Special Gift.
To complete this achievement you are required to complete the quest chain beginning with You're a Mean One... (Horde) / You're a Mean One... (Alliance).
- Let It Snow - During the Feast of Winter Veil, use a Handful of Snowflakes on each of the race/class combinations listed below:

Mistletoe can be obtained from Winter Reveler by /kiss'ing them. This can be done once per hour.
- The Winter Veil Gourmet - During the Feast of Winter Veil, use your culinary expertise to produce a Gingerbread Cookie, Winter Veil Egg Nog and Hot Apple Cider.
- He Knows If You've Been Naughty - Open one of the presents underneath the Winter Veil tree once they are available.
- A Frosty Shake - During the Feast of Winter Veil, use your Winter Veil Disguise kit to become a snowman and then dance with another snowman in Dalaran.
This achievement is required to be completed in Northrend Dalaran.

- A-Caroling We Will Go (Horde) - Use your Gaudy Winter Veil Sweater to carol in enemy capital cities during the Feast of Winter Veil.
The locations to visit are: Darnassus, Ironforge, Stormwind and The Exodar.
- A-Caroling We Will Go (Alliance) - Use your Gaudy Winter Veil Sweater to carol in enemy capital cities during the Feast of Winter Veil.
The locations to visit are: Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, Silvermoon City and Undercity.
Gaudy Winter Veil Sweater can be purchased from the Winter Veil vendors.
- BB King (Horde) - Pelt the Alliance leaders listed.
- BB King (Alliance) - Pelt the Horde leaders listed.
You will need to obtain a Red Rider Air Rifle, either from a toy vendor found in major cities, or by looting it from a Stolen Present.
- Crashin' & Thrashin' - Gain 25 crashes with your Crashin' Thrashin' Racer during the Feast of Winter Veil.
You can do this achievement with any of the Crashin' Thrashin' Racer Toys.
- Iron Armada - Collect all five toys that are part of the Crashin' Thrashin' "Iron Armada" set.
- Crashin' Thrashin' Cannon Controller - Drops from Gondar in Tanaan Jungle.
- Crashin' Thrashin' Flamer Controller - Looted from Stolen Present.
- Crashin' Thrashin' Killdozer Controller - Is sold in your garrison for 5 Merry Supplies.
- Crashin' Thrashin' Mortar Controller - Drops from Smashum Grabb in Tanaan Jungle.
- Crashin' Thrashin' Roller Controller - Drops from Drakum in Tanaan Jungle.
- The Danger Zone - Shoot down another player's Crashin' Thrashin' Flyer with yours.
The Crashin' Thrashin' Flyer Controller is obtained from the Stolen Present.
