Slitherfang Secret Pet Guide

Slitherfang is a secret snake pet found in the Altar of Fangs dungeon in Midnight.

For this secret, you will need to group up with four other players and reverse the ritual performed on Slitherfang. Doing so will also award the achievement In Case Of Emergency.

Mysterious Reagents

Defeat the first boss in the Altar of Fangs on Mythic difficulty, then search the nearby venomous waterfalls for hidden reagents. One player must grab the Ritual Reagent bag, while the other four players each take a Reversal Charm.

Note: The reagents are well-hidden at the base of the two venomous waterfalls, mouseover the area until you find them.

Ritual Reversal

Defeat the second boss and clear the trash leading up to the Ascendant Serpent, but do not interact with the totems. The player carrying the Ritual Reagent should stand near the Ascendant Serpent, while the others should each stand next to one of the four totems.

Once everyone is in position, the player carrying the Ritual Reagent bag has to target the Ascendant Serpent and use their extra action button: Applying Reagent. After that, the four other players can use their extra action button: Ritual Reversal. This will reverse the ritual, transforming the Ascendant Serpent into Slitherfang.

Once the ritual has been reversed, you can interact with Slitherfang to receive the pet.
