Mind-Seeker Feat of Strength Guide

This guide covers how to join the secretive cabal of the Mind-Seekers and earn the Mind-Seeker Feat of Strength.

Requirements

For this secret you'll have to reach the Pearl of the Abyss located in fatigue waters south of the Abyssal Depths. You'll need water breathing and an aquatic mount such as a Battle Turtle, Ottuk, Seahorse or Tidestallion.

It's highly recommended to get several Atomized Salien Slime from Al'kubian (available after a short questline in Azj-Kahet). In addition to providing water breathing, this potion also increases your swim speed from 135% to 152%, making the descent to the Pearl significantly easier.

/way #2255 60.0 66.2 Al'kubian

Water Breathing

If you're unable to obtain Atomized Salien Slime, the Pearl is still reachable. However, you'll still need a source of water breathing, such as one of the following options:

Pearl of the Abyss

Head to Vashj'ir and reach the Pearl of the Abyss located in fatigue waters south of the Abyssal Depths.

/way #13 26.45 70.60 Safe Location
/way #13 26.45 71.67 Pearl

  • Travel to the safe location and from that exact spot, dive straight down into the water and hop on an aquatic mount.
  • Since perfect vertical swimming isn't possible, you may need to make small adjustments while descending to briefly reset fatigue.
  • Locate the submerged skeleton and the Pearl of the Abyss, as shown in the video below, but keep swimming vertically for now!
  • Once the water shifts from grey to dark blue, swim directly to the Pearl.
  • Note that you must physically touch the Pearl in order to get teleported to the Seat of Knowledge!

Seat of Knowledge

In this alternate version of the Seat of Knowledge, you'll find members of the secretive cabal of the Mind-Seekers, along with objects that represent secrets that you have solved.

Progress Scripts

You can use the following scripts to check your mount and pet collection progress.

/run local l={802,36,109,14,64,32,203,154,27,4,37,21,153,157,130,5,374}local p,c=0,0 for _,v in ipairs(l)do p=p+v local n,_,_,_,_,_,_,_,_,_,h=C_MountJournal.GetMountInfoByID(p)if h then c=c+1 else print("Missing: "..n)end end print("Mounts: "..c.."/17")

/run local l={2136,216,59,384,93,177,227,971}local p,c=0,0 for _,v in ipairs(l)do p=p+v if C_PetJournal.GetNumCollectedInfo(p)>0 then c=c+1 else print("Missing: "..(C_PetJournal.GetPetInfoBySpeciesID(p)or p))end end print("Pets: "..c.."/8")

Note: Progress toward the Mind-Seeker achievement is only awarded by solving the secrets. Pets purchased from the Auction House do not count; you can check the holograms to confirm whether you've completed the secrets for Phoenix Wishwing and Courage. Additionally, the hidden tracking quest for the Sun Darter Hatchling currently resets weekly due to a bug.

Anakron

If you have solved at least 17 of the secrets listed above, you can speak with Anakron and choose "I am ready" to join the secretive cabal of the Mind-Seekers and earn the Mind-Seeker Feat of Strength.

Asking Anakron about oddsight results in the cryptic response "...Without a stumble." which could be related to a continuation of Uuna's Secret Storyline.

Jeremy Feasel

If you haven't solved at least 17 secrets, consider speaking with Jeremy Feasel to set your Hearthstone to this alternate phase of the Seat of Knowledge.

Current Leads

The recent hints from Uuna, Anakron and Incognitro come together to form the following verse:

Tulip's sister, pure and humble! Seeks to...
...Without a stumble.
Free her from the prison umbral.

In addition to these dialogue hints, the secret finding community has found a possible related item in the database, Oddsight Focus, though its purpose remains unclear for now.

Fun Fact

Fun fact: Saltine, a new World of Warcraft player, was the first to stumble upon the alternate version of the Seat of Knowledge while investigating the Pearl in the Abyssal Depths. Although this mysterious Pearl has been discussed in the secret finding community and in reddit posts for quite some time, it was not interactable until the Midnight pre-patch.
