Hand of Nilganihmaht is one of the secret mounts added in the Shadowlands expansion, obtained after collecting five rings scattered throughout The Maw. This mount is one of the hidden collectibles players can obtain as part of the Mind-Seeker achievement and its accompanying title.

Nilganihmaht Control Ring

To obtain the Nilganihmaht Control Ring, you'll first have to collect five rings from different activities throughout The Maw.

• Nilganihmaht's Stone Ring - Available during the Necrolord Assault.
• Nilganihmaht's Runed Band - Drops from Torglluun.
• Nilganihmaht's Signet Ring - Drops from Exos, Herald of Domination.
• Nilganihmaht's Silver Ring - Looted from the Domination Sealed Chest.
• Nilganihmaht's Gold Band - Looted from Nilganihmaht's Gold Band.

HandyNotes: Shadowlands

For this secret it's highly recommended to install HandyNotes: Shadowlands, an addon which adds the locations of rare mobs and treasures to the map.

Nilganihmaht's Stone Ring

Nilganihmaht's Stone Ring is obtained by reforging four Quartered Ancient Rings found throughout Perdition Hold. Please note that these four rings can only be obtained during the Necrolord Assault when the quest Putting A Plan Together is available.

Speak with Baroness Draka to take the quest Waiting in the Wings and complete it, then speak with Mikanikos to see which quest is available for the current Necrolord Assault:

• If the quest Centurions March! is available, then you'll have to wait for another Necrolord Assault.
• If the quest Putting A Plan Together is available, then you can proceed with collecting the four Quartered Ancient Rings.

1. Quartered Ancient Ring

The first Quartered Ancient Ring can be found in two specific Mawsworn Caches on top of the ramparts in Perdition Hold. These chests can be reached by using grapple points, provided that you have unlocked Animated Levitating Chain from Ve'nari.

2. Quartered Ancient Ring

The second Quartered Ancient Ring is the reward from the quest Clearing the Walls, which starts by looting the Defense Map from Mawsworn Caches on top of the ramparts in Perdition Hold.

Important: Make sure to complete Putting A Plan Together before looting the chests! If you have already looted the Mawsworn Caches, then you can loot them again the next day after the daily reset.

Tip: The quest Clearing the Walls is shareable, so you can ask nearby players or friends to share it with you.

Note: Hop on the Overcharged Centurion, then use Purestep Ascension to jump to the top of nearby walls.

3. Quartered Ancient Ring

The third Quartered Ancient Ring is looted from the Maw Mad Construct, which starts to spawn after looting any of the Quartered Rings.

The NPC spawns in the center area of Perdition Hold and runs around the zone while yelling your name. It despawns after 30 seconds, so you have to be quick to catch it. The respawn timer is approximately 15-30 minutes.

Tip: You can install RareScanner and add its ID to Custom NPCs to receive alerts whenever you pass by it.

4. Quartered Ancient Ring

The fourth Quartered Ancient Ring can be found on the ground in various locations throughout Perdition Hold. Please note that the Quartered Ancient Ring container despawns after a few minutes and respawns in a different place.

Tip: You can use the Trained Gromit Carrier to summon a Swagsnout Gromit to help you find this ring.

Reforging

Once you have obtained all four Quartered Ancient Rings, head to the Soulsteel Forge to create Nilganihmaht's Stone Ring.

Nilganihmaht's Runed Band

Nilganihmaht's Runed Band drops from Torglluun, which can be seen and killed only in the Rift phase. You can enter that phase by using Collapsing Riftstone or Repaired Riftkey.

Nilganihmaht's Signet Ring

Nilganihmaht's Signet Ring drops from Exos, Herald of Domination, which is located atop the Altar of Domination.

To reach the location, use Domination's Calling to create a portal to the Altar of Domination.

Domination's Calling can be obtained by combining three dominion etchings. Each one drops from a specific rare creature, all of which require four players to summon:

• Dominion Etching: Loss - Dropped by Apholeias, Herald of Loss
• Dominion Etching: Grief - Dropped by Ekphoras, Herald of Grief
• Dominion Etching: Pain - Dropped by Talaporas, Herald of Pain

Alternatively, you can use the grapple points on the building to climb it, provided that you have unlocked Animated Levitating Chain and have the Stygia Dowser in your bags.

Nilganihmaht's Silver Ring

Nilganihmaht's Silver Ring is looted from the Domination Sealed Chest. To access this container, you must first unlock the Domination Sealed Cage by obtaining four Seal Breaker Keys:

• Drops from Maldraxxi Defector
• Drops from The Harrower's Key Ring
• Drops from Helgarde Supply Caches
• Drops from Feeder's Hand and Key, which is looted from Ylva

If you have deleted Seal Breaker Keys by mistake, you can loot Helgarde Supply Caches to get those missing keys.

Once you have obtained all 4 keys, head to the Domination Sealed Cage to unlock it, then loot the Domination Sealed Chest to receive Nilganihmaht's Silver Ring.

Nilganihmaht's Gold Band is located at the top of the mountain in Calcis. Use the grapple point and then follow the path up the mountain as shown on HandyNotes: Shadowlands.

Hand of Nilganihmaht

Once all five rings are collected, make your way to the Hand of Nilganihmaht, which is located in a cave in the Rift phase of the Maw.
